Q & A

What kind of tasks will volunteers be asked to do?

At-con volunteers assist wherever help is needed during the event. Typical tasks may include checking badges, helping count attendance for panel rooms, or moving carts or materials between locations. Tasks are generally short-term and designed to support our Con Staff where extra hands are needed.

Are there any perks for volunteering?

Yes! Volunteers will receive the following perks based on time donated.

Perks for Volunteering

  • 0–4 hours: Exclusive volunteer ribbon

  • 6 hours: $25 Levy gift card (usable at convention concessions)

  • 8 hours: Exclusive volunteer merch item

  • 16 hours: Free weekend badge for Anime Milwaukee 2027

Will volunteers need a weekend badge, or is a single-day badge okay?

Volunteers must have either a weekend badge or a single-day badge for the day(s) they are volunteering. When not scheduled for volunteer work, volunteers are free to enjoy the convention.

When does the Google sign-up Form close?

The sign-up form will close at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2026, allowing volunteers to sign up for any day of the convention.

If spots are still available, you may also sign up in person at the Con Support Office at the Juneau Hilton during the event.

When will volunteers know if they’ve been selected, and how will they be contacted?

Selected volunteers will be notified by email. During the convention, we will communicate via phone or text so volunteers can enjoy their time at the con and be contacted only when help is needed or if there is an immediate request.
